Her World

She lived in her world where she heard noone, she saw noone. The existence of a being in the real world was what a dream is to us. It touched her ever so slightly, but not enough to cause an impression. She was protected, well fed, peaceful and content. She was attached to reality through just a cord.

Then she decided to connect. Mistake. It was just the beginning. She learnt how to feel. She understood fear, misery, pain. She was taught what morals, justice, traditions and rules were. She learnt to hate, to envy. She knew what trust, faith and love were. She suffered, she rejoiced, she sinned, she repented, she failed, she tried harder, she gained, she lost.

She doesnt remember what her world was like, but she knows it was better than the one she is living in.

Sometimes I wish I was still in my mother's womb.

One Life
One love
One blood
Wake up
Face the reality
Fight it
Its just about making slightly better decisions.

Naahh..nothing to do with decisions. And this post != result of me depressed. I am living in reality, I face it everyday and face it damn well . If you know me, you should know to what extent the posts reflect my life!

"living in reality"...you do, but can you know the reality and still believe something better exists just around the corner? That might help, IMHO.

I've heard this life is overrated.
But I hope that this gets better as we go..

THE 99 CLUB

Once upon a time......there lived a King who.....despite his luxurious lifestyle.....was neither happy nor content.

One day, the King came upon a servant who was singing happily while he worked. This fascinated the King; why was he......the Supreme Ruler of the Land..........unhappy and gloomy, while a lowly servant had so much joy.

The King asked the servant, "How come you are so happy?"

The man replied, "Your Majesty, I am nothing but a servant, but my family and I don't need too much............just a roof over our heads and warm food to fill our tummies."

The king was not satisfied with that reply. Later in the day, he sought the advice of his most trusted advisor. After hearing the King's woes and the servant's story, the advisor said, "Your Majesty, I believe that the servant has not been made part of The 99 Club."

"The 99 Club? And what exactly is that?" the King inquired.

The advisor replied, "Your Majesty, to truly know what The 99 Club is...........place 99 Gold coins in a bag and leave it at this servant's doorstep."

When the servant saw the bag.......he took it into his house. When he opened the bag, he let out a great shout of joy....... wow....so many gold coins!

He began to count them. After several counts.....he was at last convinced that there were 99 coins. He wondered, "What could've happened to that last gold coin? Surely, no one would leave 99 coins!"

He looked everywhere he could..... but that last coin was elusive.

Finally, exhausted, he decided that he was going to have to work harder than ever to earn that gold coin and complete his collection.

From that day....the servant's life changed. He was overworked, horribly grumpy, and castigated his family for not helping him make that 100th gold coin. He felt so unhappy all the time.... he stopped singing while he worked.

Witnessing this drastic transformation....the King was puzzled. When he sought his advisor's help, the advisor said, "Your Majesty, the servant has now officially joined The 99 Club."

He continued, "The 99 Club is a name given to those people who have enough to be happy but are never contented.......because they're always yearning and striving for that extra 1....... telling themselves: "Let me get that one final thing and then I will be happy for life ."

We too can be happy with very little in our lives.......but the minute we're given something bigger and better...... we need to watch out for our monkey minds ........ which may want even more!

We lose our sleep........our happiness......we hurt people around us.......all these as a price for our growing needs and desires.

So my dear ........it's all up to us.......whether we want to join 'The 99 Club' ........ or not!

Now, that is a really good post.
Since she can't go back, guess she will have to go forward.

That was beautifully written...
I often wonder would life not be better without any emotions, but then that would not be life, the feeling of awakening is so pure.
Like its a bowl that can be filled, and we choose to put emotions as anger, pain, hatred and sorrow. I guess the fault lies in us mortals, that we cant control anything--not even ourselves

you should realize that for now there is one life to live. dont we have all the things in life. food to eat. clothes to wear. a nice life full of opportunities ahead. some dont even have that. that thought makes me think ......all these little things in life are trifle.

ohh. am i glad that I live in this world - with all its sufferings, sorrows, deceit, emotions ! Without all this, what is life? Living a comfy life like in a womb, oblivious of anything else would be so....so boring. Everything in this world is Maya, its all like madira - intoxicating. And there is a great dramatist out there scripting and watching the show unfold.

something good is better than nothing.
something bad is worse than nothing.
something bad can be made something good. To do so one needs life. That way life will be meaningful and something will be better than nothing.
